Programme website – most preferred source of information

Communication Questionnaire, which was distributed to the public in the end of the year 2013 and 104 respondents shared opinions and provided feedback shows that Programme website is most popular source of information among 83% of Project implementers and stakeholders. For search of information Implementation section (28%) together with Publications (23%) and News in national languages (17%) sections accordingly were chosen as most useful. However, website was not the first source how potential applicants got to know about the Programme in its early implementation stage. People to people contacts and local, regional and national authorities played the main role to spread the information.

Regular and informative e-mails from Joint Technical Secretariat
are mentioned as second most popular source of information and Newsletter and monthly Fact Sheets are following. Fact Sheets are translated into Estonian, Latvian and Russian each month, as well the Programme and Project News.

The opportunity to read information in National languages is appreciated very much and positive evaluation was received from 76% of respondents. Recently produced Large Scale Brochure also includes sections in national languages, but in preparation are Programme Leaflets in four languages. It should be mentioned, that in parallel to Estonian, Latvian or Russian, English language is accepted by 48% of respondents, which shows good balance between the use of official language of the Programme and national languages.
