PHOTO YOUTH: New skills of taking photos results into International Photo Exhibition
An International Photo Exhibition „PHOTO YOUTH” was opened on 18 January 2013 in prominent Riga Art Space in Riga, Latvia. Young people with disabilities from Latvia and Russia have learned the art of taking photos within the Project „PHOTO YOUTH”, which began its implementation in January 2012. Programme financing for implementation of planned activities is 259015, 20 euro.
Staring from the year 2013 project involves already all 12 Riga special schools, but the main partner is Strazdumuiža special boarding school for weak-eyed children. Project partners from the Russian Federation are N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov Art College of Pskov District, Centre of complex social services for citizens "Vyborg", Regional non-governmental organization “Petersburg Parents” and Administration of the municipality “Vyborg region” of Leningrad district.
Project aims to improve living standards and provide equal access to the additional education for young people with disabilities.
Starting from November 2011 in fields like transport and logistics solutions, tourism development, protection of environment, promotion of cultural heritage and cooperation in spheres of culture, sport, education, social and health are implemented 25 Projects.
