On 27-28 May 2015 Final Event “Magic of CBC” was celebrated in Tartu, Estonia

7 Best Project Managers in Estonia within Estonia-Latvia-Russia Programme were recognized for good planning, efficient and successful management of projects:


o Ms Helena Musthallik “Economically and Environmentally Sustainable Lake Peipsi area” (LSP-3)
o Ms Silja Lehtpuu “Improvement of traffic and border crossing possibilities in Värska-Pechory monastery road” (LSP-1) and “Promoting the use of cultural heritage and resources in product development in border areas” (ELRII-291)
o Ms Natalia Orava “Unique Estonian-Russian fortresses ensemble development as a single tourist product. Stage II” (ELRI-103)
o Ms  Annika Kallasmaa “Cooperation for Quality Education for Children at Social Risk” (ELRII-310)
o Ms Jelena Dulneva “Eco-friendly disposal of hazardous medical waste in the cross-border region” (ELRII-448)
o Mr Martin Kikas “Sun and Wind: Universal Renewables for Local Sustainability” (ELRII-473)
o Ms Zanna Bober “Integrated Intelligent Platform for Monitoring the Cross-Border Natural-Technological Systems” (ELRI-184)

o Winter garden in Sangaste “To preserve not to lose it – safeguarding of cultural heritage” (ELRII-308)
o Narva Castle Park “Unique Estonian-Russian fortresses ensemble development as a single tourist product. Stage II” (ELRI-103)
o Centre for creative industries in Räpina “Development of the centres for culture and creative industries in Räpina, Vilaka and Pechory” (ELRI-016)
o Narva Promenade “Development of historical riverside protection area in Narva/Estonia and Ivangorod/Russia II stage” (ELRI-015)
o Jõhvi kindergarten’s energy savings project “Awareness Rising and Investments in Energy Efficiency: Jõhvi and Kingissepp” (ELRII-499)



        



       


                               



5 nominees were presented for active promotion of the Programme and project results, and creative publicity materials. Award `Best communication and promoter` was assigned to:


o “Development of unique Narva-Ivangorod fortresses ensemble as a single cultural and tourist object” (LSP-6)
o “Unique Estonian-Russian fortresses ensemble development as a single tourist product. Stage II” (ELRI-103)
o “ARCHAEOLOGY, AUTHORITY & COMMUNITY: cooperation to protect archaeological heritage” (ELRI-191)
o “Logistics and Overland Transport Network for Training “Blue Collars” (ELRII-465)
o Increasing capacity of Local Authorities in providing e-services in Ida-Virumaa-Leningrad oblast cross-border areas (ELRII-470)
 

       


                               


5 projects were awarded for long-lasting partnership and cooperation in category `Best Partnership`


o “Economically and Environmentally Sustainable Lake Peipsi area” (LSP-3)
o “Development of unique Narva-Ivangorod fortresses ensemble as a single cultural and tourist object” (LSP-6)
o “Unique Estonian-Russian fortresses ensemble development as a single tourist product. Stage II” (ELRI-103)
o “Cooperation for Quality Education for Children at Social Risk” (ELRII-310)
o “Development of historical riverside protection area in Narva/Estonia and Ivangorod/Russia II stage” (ELRI-015)

                        


Best sustainability showed the following projects:

o “Development of unique Narva-Ivangorod fortresses ensemble as a single cultural and tourist object” (LSP-6)
o “Economically and Environmentally Sustainable Lake Peipsi area” (LSP-3)
o Water management Project of Peipsi, Pihkva, Lämmijärve, Saadjärve and Veskijärve Lakes (ELRI-013)
o “Eco-friendly disposal of hazardous medical waste in the cross-border region” (ELRII-448)



                        



For development of unique water infrastructure objects in Estonia the project “Economically and Environmentally Sustainable Lake Peipsi area” (LSP-3) was awarded with two prizes for `Best Solution`:


o Räpina Boat Harbour
o Kallaste Slip


       


6 projects were brought up during implementation period for bright and very attended events, masterclasses, workshops. Awards “Outstanding Event” were handed to the nominated projects:

o “Promoting the use of cultural heritage and resources in product development in border areas” (ELRII-291)
o “Sun and Wind: Universal Renewables for Local Sustainability” (ELRII-473)
o “Be good at sport through three countries” (ELRII-227)
o “To preserve not to lose it – safeguarding of cultural heritage” (ELRII-308)
o “Exploring the history of narrow gauge railway” (ELRI-142)
o “ARCHAEOLOGY, AUTHORITY & COMMUNITY: cooperation to protect archaeological heritage” (ELRI-191)


                        



For notable contribution to the regional development in Estonia the award “Pearl of Region” was assigned to:


o “Cross countries through football” (ELRI-181)
o ”Regions are to attract the investors” (ELRII-535)
o “Promoting the use of cultural heritage and resources in product development in border areas” (ELRII-291).


                           


Altogether 50 cross-border cooperation projects have been supported by the ENPI Estonia-Latvia-Russia CBC Programme 2007-2013 with the overall budget of 58,89 MEUR involving 241 partners from three countries.
