More trees planted to celebrate the European Cooperation Day
On 20 September, 2013 to mark the European Cooperation Day the lilac was planted in front of North-Latgale Business centre in Balvi, Latvia. It also marked the start of works on the design and permanent and digital exposition in the Museum of Balvi Municipality in the framework of cultural and historical heritage Project “To preserve not to lose it – safeguarding of cultural heritage ”.
On 21 September an information plate stating the works of the Project “Preserve not to lose” was opened and more lilacs were planted by participants of the seminar „Latgalian folklore characters and values, their customs and the dynamics in modern times”. The seminar was organized by the Balvi Library for cultural and educational personnel of Northern-Latgale.

The overall objective of the Project is to develop complexes of manors in order to create preconditions for efficient natural and cultural heritage utilization,to promote preservation of tangible and intangible cultural and natural heritage in order to foster sustainable socio-economic development in Pskov, South Estonia and Latgale regions.
