KEEP - Transfer of Knowledge

Data about the 1st Call Projects of the ENPI Estonia-Latvia-Russia cross border cooperation programme resently has been published in KEEP data base. KEEP is conceived as an online tool and internet portal that utilises, capitalises and ensures the transfer of the knowledge of both INTERACT and European Territorial Cooperation programme information and gives an overview of 2000-2006 INTERREG / 2007-13 European Territorial Cooperation projects as this information is only stored at Programme level. ENPI programmes are gradually joining KEEP.

KEEP also serves as an information, communication and visibility platform across Objective 3. It will allow users to view and analyse the workings of cooperation on a much wider scale and with greater depth than it has ever been possible before.

In order to make KEEP a relevant tool for a variety of stakeholders, KEEP is structured as an integrated system with 3 elements:

- KEEP Database containing projects’- and partners’ data sets from the funding periods 2000-2006 and 2007 onwards

- KEEP Maps displaying the projects’ and partners’ data in a visualized way (including zooming down to the street level of projects’ organisations)

- KEEP Statistics and Search functions ensuring individualized search results

KEEP has been developed by the INTERACT PROGRAMME and is supported by the Member States involved and the European Commission. INTERACT is a Programme co-financed by the European Regional Development Funds (ERDF) under its objective “European Territorial Cooperation” (ETC) in the funding period 2007 - 2013.

As a sort of horizontal Programme, INTERACT is supporting other ETC Programmes in achieving their objectives in a most efficient way.
