Joint Monitoring Committee establishes Joint Programming Committees for future programming

On 10-11 April 2013 in Kuressaare, Estonia 7th Joint Monitoring Committee meeting took place. Members of the Joint Monitoring Committee representing National and Regional Authorities from Estonia, Latvia and Russia took a decision to establish two Joint Programming Committees in order to begin preparations of two future European Neighbourhood Instrument Programmes - ENI Estonia – Russia CBC and ENI Latvia – Russia CBC.


Joint Technical Secretariat presented comprehensive and detailed information on the progress of implementation of the current Programme – implementation of Projects approved within 1st Call for Proposals and the Large Scale Projects, progress of contracting Projects of 2nd Call for Proposals, as well background of the Programme Events in 2013 – Annual Event and the European Cooperation Day 2013. Changes in two implementation Guidelines - Practical Guidelines and Communication and Visibility Guidelines were approved too.


Members of the Joint Monitoring Committee were introduced to Projects implemented in Kuressaare. Despite ice and snow covering the Sea Project of the Estonia-Latvia Programme “One Vacation Two Countries” with investments made in the infrastructure of the seashore was introduced by Ms Virge Pihel, Head of Development Department of Kuressaare city.  You can read more about the Project - http://www.estlat.eu/supported-projects/?project=12
