Grant contract for 1 688 913, 00 euro of the Programme co-financing countersigned by the JMA of the Programme and Latvian office of Euroregion "Country of lakes" (Latvia)

Project “Increasing traffic system’s capability within EE-LV-RU international importance transport corridors” has been accepted by the Joint Monitoring Committee of the Programme and the European Commission under the Priority 1 of the Programme, 1.2 Measure – Transport, logistics and commuication solutions and involves 14 partners - the second highest amount of partners among accepted projects within the 1st Call. Total budget of the Project is 1 876 570,00 euro.


In realization of the Project Latvian office of Euroregion "Country of lakes" (Latvia) involves mainly Municipalities of border regions - 6 from Latgale region (Latvia), 4 from Pskov Oblast (Russia) and 2 from South Estonia.  


Project is aimed at increasing the transport system’s sustainability, capability, accessibility and competitiveness of the Estonian-Latvian-Russian border region through exchange and capacity building in visible traffic safety solutions and development of transport and road information infrastructure. Several international events will take place in border territories.


Implementation of the Project started in April 2012 and will last 2 years.
