European Cooperation Day 2013 officially launched in Strasbourg
European Cooperation Day 2013 was officially launched in the European Parliament in Strasbourg on 10 September. Around 160 people attended the launch which was led by MEP Sanchez-Schmid, who is rapporteur for territorial cooperation in the REGI parliamentary committee. She was supported by MEP Jan Olbrycht, rapporteur for the ERDF regulation 2014-2020. The European Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy, Štefan Füle supported ENPI CBC involvement in ECDay in a video address.
An exhibiton of projects 'Achievements of European Territorial Cooperation' followed the conference in which 3 ENPI CBC projects featured. The exhibition also had a photo "tree" where photos taken with the mobile application "I am part of it" were displayed.
Lastly, the long trailer of the European Cooperation Day 2013 was released for the first time.
Innovation of the European Cooperation Day 2013
The European Cooperation Day mobile application has been now launched for both iOS and Android. The app enables users to keep track of all News and Events of the European Cooperation Day. In addition, it includes an innovative photo-booth tool through which people can participate interactively in the campaign by sharing their own 'I am part of it' photo strips on Facebook and Twitter. You can see the photo gallery and download the app here or install it directly from the Apple Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). The application for the whole Europe was developed in Latvia.
