ENPI Info Centre shares experience of communicating via Social Media
To answer some basic questions people often have about Social media, the EU Neighbourhood Info Centre issued “Using Social media: A handbook for EU funded projects”. This publication is targeted to porject implementers and is written in simple language, includes plenty of examples, tips and links. Info Centre has gathered experience and questions asked by projects during the communications workshops organised in Neighbourhood countries together with the EU Delegations. Handbook is available in English and Russian languages.
The handbook starts with explanations on what social media is, how it differs from traditional media, why it is used today to reach out to internet audiences, how you get started and what the differences are between the main social media tools.
There are also sections on writing for social media, how to produce content that works, based on Info Centre examples, information to online free tools that may help you develop more material, and even a glossary on key social media terms and frequently asked questions.
One important factor anyone interested in social media should be aware of is that it evolves fast. Therefore you have to be on a constant look out for what is new! This handbook is just the beginning…
