On 10 February 2015, regional Centre for disposal of hazardous and infectious medical waste, created in the framework of the project “Eco-friendly disposal of hazardous medical waste in the cross border region” (Medical Waste), held its opening ceremony in Kohtla- Jarve town. The Centre will operate at Ida-Viru Central Hospital using newly developed its logistic system of separation, collection, intermediate storage, and transportation of hazardous medical waste. The Joint Monitoring Committee 3rd Meeting will focus on the Programme progress within 2010. The planned activities for the Programme implementation in 2011 and nomination of the Project Selection Committee as well as progress on the large scale projects development will be discussed in the meeting. Submission of the project proposals for the 1^st Call for Proposals of the Estonia – Latvia – Russia Cross Border Cooperation Programme 2007-2013 has ended on 29 November 2010. Available EU funding for the 1^st Call Grant Applications is 23 648 491 EUR. Read more

As till the deadline for submission of Grant Applications - 29 November 2010 are only 2 working days left, we would like to remind the procedure for project submission to make sure that all projects receive us fully completed and in good time. The Joint Technical Secretariat working hours for Friday, 26 November is 8.30 - 17.00 and Monday, 29 November 8.30 - 18.00. Please note that deadline for grant apllication paper version submission by hand or courier delivery is 16.00 on 29 November, local time (see further information below).     Read more
