Estonia-Latvia-Russia CBC Programme launches European Cooperation Day celebrations on 12 September 2012 with Local Actions of trees planting in Tartu (Estonia) and European Cooperation Day lecture in Riga (Latvia). Local Actions marks Europe wide communication action with local communities across borders.

In a framework of the European Cooperation Day - 2012 as an  initiative of the European Commission, five ENPI Programmes will take part in V Petersburg International Innovation Forum in 26-28 September 2012.
Key activity - the Conference "Russian-European Cross Border Cooperation - a tool to promote innovations" will gather more than 200 experts from the North-West Russia, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland.

One of the key mechanisms of such a dialogue is the annual international Conference «Cross-border Cooperation: the Russian Federation, the European Union and Norway», which will be held on September 6-7, 2012 in Pskov. European Cooperation Day is a Celebration Day! It is a day of the celebration of sucessfull cooperation among countries all over Europe and with its closest neighbours on the external borders. It is one concept, one brand and one visual identity, which will be shared by many events. Already 74 Programmes confirmed participation in the European Cooperation Day and very diverse public events will take place in almost 40 countries. Projects will show their achievements and works to the Local communities.

Grant Contract for 6,18 million euro of ENPI Estonia-Latvia-Russia CBC Programme co-financing has been countersigned with the Narva City Government today in Narva (Estonia). Large Scale Project “Development of the unique Narva – Ivangorod trans-border fortresses ensemble as a single cultural and tourism object” will improve accessibility of tourism information and will develop tourism infrastructure and its accessibility, historical fortifications will substantially be reconstructed.  Read more

First Large Scale Project of the Programme  - SAFE ROAD begins implementation of several investment activities. Grant Contract for 4,5 million euro of ENPI Estonia-Latvia-Russia CBC Programme co-financing is going to be countersigned with the Estonian Road Administration today in Tartu (Estonia). SAFE ROAD will improve traffic and border crossing possibilities in Värska-Pechory monastery road in territories of the Republic of Estonia and Russian Federation. Read more
