18 June 2013 Programme promotes energy saving with “Green Public Houses”

On 7 June 2013 Grant Contract for 341 619,53 Euro of the Programme co-financing was countersigned by the JMA of the Programme and Urmas Peegel, Mayor of Misso Rural Municipality (Estonia). Cross-border project “Development and Promotion of Using Green Energy and Energy Saving Principles in Public Houses” is going to contribute to the fulfillment of the Programme Priority 2 – Common Challenges, Measure 2.3 – Improvement of energy efficiency and promotion of renewable energy sources. Three cross border cooperation projects of the Programme are implemented in Sigulda and its surroundings. Around 220 participants of the Annual Event of the Estonia-Latvia-Russia CBC Programme on 10 June 2013 were witnessing the progress of implementation of the „SVS Activetour”, „Via Hanseatica” and „People with Nature”. 14 June 2013 Programme supports green living standards in Estonia and Russia

In the first decade of June two Grant Contracts were signed within the 2nd Call for Proposals by the projects aiming to implement their activities under the Priority 2 – Common challenges.
Grant Contract for 410 400 Euro of the Programme co-financing was countersigned by the JMA of the Programme and Ljudmila Jantsenko, Vice Mayor in Mayors Duties of Kohtla-Järve Town (Estonia). Read more

On 10th June in Sigulda the Conference „Support to the Cross Border Cultural and Active Tourism in Latvia, Estonia and Russia” gathered around 220 tourism officials and interesents, representatives of the Programme management and Project partners from Estonia, Latvia and Russia. Sustainability of the socio-economic development of the Programme territory was mentioned in many speeches and presentations and the role of the Programme to reach this aim was outlined by the Head of the Joint Managing Authority of the Programme Ms Dace Grūberte.

12 June 2013 Expert for the preparation of the Estonia-Russia Cross Border Cooperation Programme 2014-2020

The Republic of Estonia and the Russian Federation have started the preparation process for elaborating the new Estonia–Russia Cross-Border Cooperation Programme for the period 2014-2020 (hereinafter the Programme). Majority of the preparation activities will take place during 2013 and 2014. The new Programme will aim to support Estonia-Russia cross-border cooperation initiatives and will act as one of successors of the existing ENPI Estonia-Latvia-Russia Cross-Border Cooperation Programme 2007-2013. On 7 June the Grant Contract within the 2nd Call for Proposals for 184 104 Euro of the Programme co-financing was countersigned by the JMA of the Programme and Aleksandra Bondar, Executive Director of Association "Council of Leningrad Region Municipalities". Cross-border Project “Supporting the Local Self-Government Development to Improve the Quality of Life in Rural Areas” was accepted under the Priority 3 – Promotion of people to people cooperation, Measure 3.1 – Development of local initiative, increasing administrative capacities of local and regional authorities. 10 June 2013 Annual Event of the Programme taking place in Sigulda, Latvia

Today, New Tourism Route – Via Hanseatica will be introduced and promoted during the Annual Event of the Programme, hosting more than 220 participants from Estonia, Latvia and Russia in Sigulda, Latvia. Conference and Panel Discussion „Support to the Cross Border Cultural and Active Tourism in Latvia, Estonia and Russia” will touch on the role of the Estonia-Latvia-Russia CBC Programme in the socio-economic development of the border regions, European cultural routes and their sustainable network management and socio-economic impact evaluation, as well ENI Programming 2014-2020.  Please see the Agenda. 7 June 2013 Programme contributes to the increase of the quality of education for the children at social risk

On 29 May the JMA of the Programme and Aimar Arula, the Headmaster of Põltsamaa Co-educational Gymnasium (Estonia), countersigned The Grant Contract within the 2nd Call for Proposals for 196 765,83 Euro of the Programme co-financing. Cross-border Project “Cooperation for Quality Education for Children at Social Risk” was accepted under the Priority 3 – Promotion of people to people cooperation, Measure 3.2 – Cooperation in spheres of culture, sport, education, social and health. On Programme are - performance of the famous folk group of bagpipes and drums “Auļi”, photo exhibition “PHOTO YOUTH”, presentation of brand new skiing track in Sigulda and Gauja National Park cluster, ICE-AGE and AHAA from Tartu, Narva-Ivangorod fortresses, Stationmaster from Gatchina.
