Public Hearings that had taken place on 5th November 2013 in St.Petersburg were organized to discuss priorities of Estonia-Russia and Latvia-Russia Cross Border Cooperation Programmes for the period 2014-2020 with involvement of 38 participants from the Russian Federation, including representatives of St.Petersburg, Pskov and Leningrad oblast Administrations, Project partners of the current Estonia-Latvia-Russia Cross Border Cooperation Programme and sectoral representatives (education, science, healthcare, ecology, etc). Project “EstRusFortTour-2” is aimed at increasing accessibility of the unique fortification ensemble as well as improvement of infrastructure of access roads to Narva and Ivangorod fortresses. The works implemented within the project are in full swing now and though they are not finished yet, the impact of the Project is already quite visible.

On 21-22 October Via Hanseatica Project of Estonia-Latvia-Russia CBC Programme and the tourism route of the same name were promoted during XII All-Russian Forum «Strategic Planning in the Regions and Cities of Russia» in St Petersburg, Russia. Read more
On 24-25 October the third training of the series of educational activities in the framework of the Project «Supporting the local self-government development to improve the quality of life in rural areas» (LSG Development) was carried out in Shugozero Municipality, this time with the focus on farming. Issues of launching and running business in the sphere of agriculture were discussed during the training. Read more
On 22 October the 3rd seminar for the beneficiaries and partners on National legislation on procurements took place in St. Petersburg (Russia). More than 60 participants from Latvia, Estonia and Russia were introduced with the most important and complicated issue – Russian legislation on procurements. Competent lecturers presented Federal Law 223-FZ and differences of the currently operational Federal Law 94-FZ and coming into action from the year 2014 Federal Law 44-FZ.

On 25-26 October 2013 a group of entrepreneurs from Ape region, Latvia visited Pskov region. The study tour was arranged in the framework of the project “Promoting the use of cultural heritage and resources in product development in border areas" (Heritage Business). The participants were mainly interested in using local cultural heritage and resources in small-scale production. Read more
On 16 October, 2013 in Tallinn (Estonia) in Meriton Old Town Garden Hotel took place the meeting of the 2nd Joint Programming Committee (JPC) for preparation of future Estonia-Russia CBC Programme where the representatives of Estonia and Russia, European Commission and ENPI INTERACT project discussed the issues relating to preparation of new programme. In the first round of the ENPI photo competition "Put your project in the headline!" the photo submitted by the “EstRusForTour-2” project was among 10 photos chosen by professional experts from the ENPI Info centre, which is a great result. Congratulations! Now, there is already a second round in full swing. Altogether 14 photos were sent by 9 ENPI Estonia-Latvia-Russia CBC projects as well by the Joint Technical Secretariat and now are on the ENPI Info centre Facebook wall. 4000 votes are collected for all published photos and voting continues till 27 October 2013. On 25-26 October “FOSTER SME” Project organized a visit of SME representatives from Pskov and Pskov Region to Voru, Estonia. The delegation consisted of 15 entrepreneurs from Pskov, Pechory, Krasnogorsk and Opochka Districts. Read more
On 25 – 27 September 2013 Pskov partners of the Project «Cooperation for Quality Education for Children at Social Risk» (EDU no borders) had the firs of partner visits to Poltsamaa, Estonia within the frame of their Project.
School teachers and teachers of Pskov SOS Children’s Village got acquainted with new teaching methods used by their Estonian colleagues in Poltsimaa Gymnasium, visited an Estonian SOS family. School children participating in the visit met their peers and learned a lot from each other.
