Achievements and results of three ended projects, where cooperation in spheres of culture, art of photography and speech theraphy among people and institutions from Estonia, Latvia and Russia took place, are analysed and compiled. Art schools and amateur theaters from Valka and Gatchina through master classes and exchange visits aquired new international experience and exchanged best practice in culture project „Border light”. Disabled youngsters and young people at social risk from Vyborg, Pskov and Riga are educated in the art of photography within hobby education project „Photo Youth”. Speech therapists from Estonia and Russia are trained and educated within special education project „SPEECH” and now can provide better professional assistance to children and grown-ups. 17 October 2014 KEEP – improving knowledge management KEEP – improving knowledge management

On 9 and 10 October in Brussels for its 2nd meeting met KEEP 2.0. Working Group. INTERACT and the European Commission and several CBC Programmes were represented. Working group sets further aims and objectives for the future of KEEP. Higher commitments from Programmes and availability of complete and reliable data for professional use are expected by EC and INTERACT. New KEEP promotion strategy will be developed and it is planned that automatic data update will be the main tool to ensure completeness of data. KEEP is a free, comprehensive database on Territorial Cooperation projects, project partners and programmes. It covers the financing periods starting in 2000 and focuses primarily on the needs of the main stakeholders of Territorial Cooperation at any level, as well it is very useful instrument for EU and its partner countries citizens. On 13 October 2014 new photo exhibition was installed in the foyer of the Leningrad Region Government. It presents all 18 projects financed by the Estonia-Latvia-Russia CBC Programme and involving partners and participants from the Leningrad Region. These projects demonstrate support of the Programme in wide range of relevant subjects – from art-school cooperation and sport competitions to border-crossing and infrastructure development Read more

A selection of 90 videos submitted to the European Cooperation Day video contest ‘Border issues, border solutions’ were displayed during the Open Days on 8 and 9 October 2014 at the Committee of the Regions of the European Commission Cinema room. Among them ENPI Estonia-Latvia-Russia CBC Programme Video (third place by jury in ENPI category) and 3 Project’s videos - EstRusFortTour-2 (second place by jury in the ENPI category), E-archive and LSG Development. Videos are highlighting the results and benefits of cooperation in the European Union and across the borders. The level of participation in the European Cooperation Day video contest ‘Border issues, border solutions’ was impressive: 215 videos were received and 15 060 votes were cast on the EC Day website for the people's choice awards. On 10 October 2014, Malnava College hosted International Conference on transport and logistics T&L2014 - the Final project event. With this conference and long-term cooperation agreements the project “Improvement of higher vocational education in the field of transport and logistics” (T&L) is approaching its final implementation phase. During the Conference project partners publicly introduced major project achievements: newly equipped Motor Vehicle Electronics Testing lab, Distance learning tool and distance learning equipment, improved higher vocational education program in Motor Vehicles, new study module in Logistics, study library supplemented by new study books and materials. Photo exhibition – ‘Faces of the Neighbourhood: Travelling across EU cooperation with its Southern and Eastern Neighbours’ prepared by the EU Neighbourhood Info Centre is opened to the public from 30 September until 14 November 2014, at the Info Point Europa in Brussels. It brings together photos taken for the EU Neighbourhood Info Centre by photographers of Agence France-Presse (AFP) and the European Pressphoto Agency (EPA). As well, the photo of the project EstRusFortTour-2 that won in public voting during European Cooperation Day 2014 photo competition, is placed in Info Centre Europa, placed next to the main building of the European Commission in the very centre of Brussels. On  12 September Closing seminar of the Project “Water management Project of Peipsi, Pihkva, Lämmijärve, Saadjärve and Veskijärve Lakes” (Emajõe-Pskov WMP) and ceremonial opening of newly constructed wastewater treatment plant took place in Mustvee, Estonia. It was the official finish line for 2,5 years cross border cooperation project between project partners around Lake Peipsi. Read more

Estonia-Latvia-Russia Coss border programme together with other four ENPI CBC 2007-2013 Programmes have been implemented with participation and in cooperation with the Russian Federation. Efforts of getting figures by each programme resulted in joint figures of all 5 Programmes together. Children, entrepreneurs and SMEs, tourists, border crossers  and waters benefitted from cross border support, that is reflected in Regional Review Magazine, September 2014, its special edition for Open Days 2014. South-East Finland – Russia, Karelia, Kolarctic, Estonia-Latvia-Russia and Lithuania-Poland-Russia cooperates for EC Day since 2012. Read more

On 1 – 3 October Estonia-Latvia-Russia CBC Programme was presented at the VII St. Petersburg International Innovation Forum as a part of activities devoted to the European Cooperation Day Information Campaign.
The biggest interest of the visitors of Programme stand was attracted by the Programme publications - 2nd Call Projects notebook and Programme leaflet. Information on the results reached by the projects supported within the Programme was taken with much interest. Consultations on the contacts and search of possible partners for cross-border cooperation and perspectives of the next programme period were highly demanded. Read more
